We are delighted to invite contributions for a new collection of stories from neonatal psychological practice, to be published as a book by Routledge. We are aiming to include as many voices and perspectives as we can, and especially would love to include stories from different types of psychological professionals (psychotherapists, psychologists, counsellors and beyond). We would really appreciate your assistance in circulating this invitation to any of your networks or groups who are currently or previously engaged in psychological practice in neonatal care.

Through weaving a tapestry of individual narratives from practice, this collection of stories will provide an anchor and a map for psychological professionals and other interested readers, to support creative engagement with the many varied possibilities of working in this area.

We are interested in proposals for stories that evocatively describe first-person accounts of working as a neonatal psychological professional, and are hoping to collect chapters that, together, cover the broad range of psychological work undertaken in the neonatal setting. Regardless of how long clinicians have been involved in this area, they will have something valuable to share in telling stories about their work. Lots of support is available from the editorial team, too.

Details of what we’re trying to achieve are in the ‘job description’ on the left, along with details of how to contribute. Please do have a read and consider making a contribution. And we would very much appreciate your help in sharing this invitation with others who may wish to.
