February 2019 APPG Meeting – The Case for Action

On 27th February 2019, we launched two new infographics about the importance of first 1001 days. These were co-created by over one hundred people from across the sector. The first infographic describes babies’ brain development, and the second contains key facts and statistics. Together, they set out a clear, concise and compelling case to convince local and national decision makers to invest in the first 1001 days. The infographics were launched at a meeting of the Conception to Age Two APPG. At the meeting, Dr Gabriella Conti, Associate Professor in Economics at UCL also presented powerful evidence about the long-term impacts of interventions in the first 1001 days.
