The UK Government has published a discussion paper and call for evidence on what we can do to improve everyone’s mental health and wellbeing.

To support you to call for better infant mental health provision, we have written this guide to responding to the consultation. It sets out questions in the consultation and key messages, facts and statistics that you may want to use in your response.

We would encourage anyone with an interest in infant mental health to:

·         Respond to the consultation to ensure a strong case is made for action on infant mental health (the deadline for responses is 11:45pm on 7 July 2022).

·         Incorporate the arguments in this paper into your response, alongside your own perspectives and insights.

·         Let us know if you think anything is missing from this paper which should be contained in a consultation response.
