Summary
The roll-out of Best Start Family Hubs throughout England is an opportunity to target prevention and response to domestic abuse in the heart of our communities. Through the creation of safe spaces, we can break down the shame and stigma of seeking help and offer vital support to children and parents affected by domestic abuse.
Join us as we share our experiences delivering For Baby’s Sake through Family Hubs in London and Blackpool and discuss ideas for creating trauma-informed spaces where all parents can access help and support.
In this webinar, we’ll explore:
- How Family Hubs can offer a trusted, non-judgmental space for parents to access support early
- Lessons from delivering For Baby’s Sake in Family Hubs, including co-location and partnership working
- The importance of addressing domestic abuse and building emotional safety from pregnancy onwards
- What needs to change in commissioning and workforce culture to make this support universally available
Every contact counts when it comes to domestic abuse, and Family Hubs are ideally placed for professionals to ask the question and provide a meaningful intervention. Join us in September to learn more about how you can integrate domestic abuse support into your offer.
This webinar is for professionals working across Family Hubs, maternity and perinatal services, early help, public health, policy, commissioning, safeguarding, and domestic abuse.
