Welcome to the Parent-Infant Teams Network.

The Parent-Infant Teams Network brings together established and emerging specialised parent-infant relationship teams around the UK to share good practice and learn together.

Here we will guide you through the resources available to network members and how you can make the most of your membership.

Meet the team

Click here to view the current staff team at the Foundation as well as our Board of Trustees.  If you have any questions about network membership please get in touch with our Network Manager, Gemma Higgins on [email protected].

Events and Keeping in Touch

We host a number of events throughout the year so expect invitations to webinars, Network Days and Peer Learning Forums (for Clinical Leads). We don’t advertise these publicly or on our website so keep an eye on your inbox for all the latest.

As part of the network, you will also receive our quarterly newsletter with news from The Foundation, job vacancies and news from the sector as well as external events and opportunities.

Resources

We have a suite of online tools and resources to help with setting up a parent-infant team or develop an existing service including:

  • Commissioning toolkit: an overview of what information is needed to commission a parent-infant team.
  • Implementation toolkit: guidance on how to set up a parent-infant team.
  • Service Mapping tool: this can be used to map what services currently exist in an area which can form a good basis both for evidencing the gaps to commissioners as well as developing pathways and referral routes when you set up a new team.
  • Pathway template: this is a tool to help local areas to create and present their parent-infant relationships care pathway.
  • Self-audit tool: this is a self-assessment process where a service can assess their own development based on a set of commonly agreed descriptors outlines in the Foundation’s definition of a team. The tool will help to create a service development plan.
  • Resource Library: Our resource library contains a wealth of documents from existing services across the UK, from clinical paperwork and job descriptions through to strategies and evaluations. We also have recordings of Parent-Infant Foundation learning events and the accompanying presentations.
  • Publications: These are key documents produced by the Parent-Infant Foundation including reports, survey findings and policy briefings.
  • External Opportunities: We have a dedicated page on our website for sector vacancies, training courses, events and research opportunities. Here you can browse the latest opportunities or advertise your own.
  • Training: Find a list of training courses available for PI professionals at all levels of professional development.
