Start Strong are establishing an Early Childhood Forum who will ensure Start Strong’s strategy is grounded in best expertise and experience about what babies, young children and families want and need, and what it takes to deliver meaningful change.
The Forum will be made up of 15 people working across service delivery, product innovation, research, campaigning, commissioning, policy making and politics. Across the group, we will be looking for people whose collective expertise spans a broad spectrum of early childhood issues and outcomes from across all four home nations of the UK. Whatever their role, they will be focused on improving the lives of babies, young children and their families.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for people to join the Early Childhood Forum who are:
- Leaders. This is not about your job title. It is about having deep expertise, experience and influence.
- Hopeful and ambitious for babies and young children. We are looking for people who share our vision for government action to drive collective, systemic change.
- Child-centred. We are looking for people who are focused first and foremost on what is best for babies and young children, and able to take a wider view beyond individual organisational or professional perspectives.
- Evidence-informed. We are looking for people whose work is grounded in evidence in all its forms including baby, child and parent voice, professional insights and research evidence.
- Connected. We are looking for people with meaningful connections to wider networks in their field and region/nation, so that they can bring broader perspectives to our discussions.
Brave and curious. We are looking for people who are excited about finding new and different ways to drive change.
