Designing a new Infant Mental Health team and tailoring workforce training
Local authority — service specification and training development
The Challenge
Kent was at a planning stage — developing proposals for a new Infant Mental Health team and needing expert input on both the business case and service specification, as well as advice on how to tailor existing training packages to fit the local context.
What We Did
- Reviewed the plans to develop a new Infant Mental Health (PAIRS) team
- Advised on the business case and service specification for the new team
- Advised on tailoring existing training programmes to suit the local workforce and context
What Changed
- Developed tailored training programmes, consulted and advised specific changes for many aspects of the Service Spec/Business case for the IMH team.
This may be relevant to you if you are
- An area at the planning stage of developing a new specialist Parent-Infant Relationship team
- A commissioner who needs support building the business case or service specification for new provision
- A local authority looking to adapt existing training resources for its own workforce context
